Job Description

Our Client in the Agricultural Services Industry is seeking to employ a Milking Machine Technician to their team based in Queenstown.
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a milking machine technician or in a similar technical role (e.g., electrical or mechanical equipment technician) will be beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair dairy equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Certification in electrical mechanical maintenance, agricultural technology, or a related field will be beneficial.
• Previous experience working in a dairy farm or with milking equipment will be beneficial.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Installation & Maintenance:

• Install, test, and maintain milking machines and related dairy equipment, ensuring they are functioning at optimal levels.

Repairs:

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions or issues with milking machines, pumps, pipelines, and other dairy equipment.

Routine Inspections:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on milking machines and other machinery to identify and resolve any potential issues before they impact operations.

Troubleshooting:

• Quickly respond to malfunctions or breakdowns to minimize downtime, using troubleshooting skills to find the cause and implement effective solutions.

Training:

• Provide training and support to farm staff on the proper use and maintenance of milking equipment.

Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections to comply with farm regulations and industry standards.
