MID-LEVEL TO SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER - CAPE TOWN

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timelines, compliance, and quality standards are met.

Apply engineering knowledge to design practical, cost-effective solutions tailored to ICT infrastructure needs (towers, data centres, node rooms).

Coordinate with internal teams and manage selected external contractors.

Oversee project documentation, design reviews, and reporting.

Conduct site visits and enforce quality control processes.

Contribute to technical problem-solving, ensuring efficient resolution of site challenges.

Deliver infrastructure projects including:

a) Data centre (Generators, UPS, HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Fire etc.),

b) Tower and high-site construction,

c) Fencing and security solutions,

d) Node rooms and last-mile infrastructure.

Requirements

Engineering degree or diploma (mechanical, structural, electrical, or related).

3-6 years of engineering experience, ideally with exposure to project delivery in ICT infrastructure or related sectors.

Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Projects).

Valid Code 8 driver's license (other licenses advantageous).

Proven ability to deliver engineering solutions within agreed timelines and specifications.
