An exciting opportunity exists for a BRAND GRAPHIC DESIGNER at SPITZ in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to produce visual communications for The Spitz Group for internal programs and external communication using templates and then translating these for the relevant advertising mediums. As our Brand Graphic Designer you will be required to create content for a variety of marketing channels, including websites, magazines, product packaging, banners, signage and social media platforms.

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas: * All retouching of photographic images produced through each season for Spitz, Kurt Geiger, Green Cross, GXandCo and Gant

  • Clean up all images at a high level of detail e.g. backgrounds; dust, scratches etc.
  • Resize images according to the required formats
  • Save and catalogue images on the shared server to ensure that they are easy to find and always accessible
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Work closely with the creative team to develop visually striking and effective digital assets for social media and website graphics.
  • Write and edit copy for social media posts
  • Create artwork as briefed by Brand Marketing and Visual teams for social media, signage and advertising for various campaigns
  • Style shots of products used to create social media posts
  • Collaborate with influencers with relevant merchandise to create social media posts promoting the products.
  • Seasonal Campaign Imagery:
  • Prepare with correct logo and according to CI Campaign artwork including that for promotions; lay-by; competitions and RCS. May be across social media, email and print signage.
  • Create collateral to communicate store closure and openings to customers for print and digital platforms
  • Electronic archiving and maintenance of various image and creative libraries (namely organogram images, seasonal campaign images, and product shots)
  • Ensure various libraries are correctly maintained indicating which images have been retouched and which not and which artwork is ready for posting.
  • Liaison between retouching agencies to ensure full sets of campaign images are saved and catalogued
  • Create content for merchandise guides including store Lookbooks and wholesale guidelines.
  • Create cover and divider pages for lookbooks and whole sale books; as well as inserting products and article numbers
  • Design covers and divider pages for lookbooks and wholesale books; as well as capturing products and article numbers
  • Ensure Corporate Identity seasonally and at a brand level is adhered to for all content being created
  • Ensure full understanding of CI changes - as indicated by brand and digital team and be able to implement.
  • Ensure all design materials align with the company's brand guidelines and maintain consistency across different channels.
  • Stay Current with Design and Digital Marketing trends:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the quality and relevance of design and digital marketing.
Minimum Requirements:

Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Graphic Designer
Qualifications:
  • Completed Graphic Designer Diploma or Degree, Visual Arts or related field
  • DTP Certification
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of design principles, layout typography and colour therapy
  • Proficient in Mac and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Photo editing skills essential
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and tools
  • Experience in video editing will be an advantage
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
