Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree (BSc / B.Eng) in Metallurgy or a similar field
- Registered member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) or similar.
- Valid Driverxe2x80x99s License
- Minimum 8-10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Metallurgist in a Gold / Platinum operation or a similar role.
- Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a 5G enabled mine.
- Experience in a green-field project/start-up mine essential.
- English: Fully Proficient.
- Mandarin: Fully Proficient (Preferred).
- Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Additional software program (AutoCAD, SAP) knowledge advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of gold / copper / platinum metallurgical process.
- Metallurgical / Plant processing software is necessary.
- Mathematical skills.
- Metallurgical process and plant operating skills.
- Excellent proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control.
- Good technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
