RPO Recruitment's Client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Metallurgist Plant in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will to measure production process performance, conduct tasks within metallurgical environment to enable efficient and cost-effective production.
Responsibilities:

• Process Theory Knowledge
• Crushing, screening, conveying, stacking and reclaiming, gravity separation (Jigging), de-slimes and de-grid cyclones, water recovery (thickeners), tailing disposal, sampling, dust suppression and extraction, on-line analyser
• Formal Technical Knowledge and Training
• Process flow and instrumentation diagrams of the following production processes:
• Bruce primary and secondary crushing,
• Overland conveyor and ROM stacking,
• On-grade wash and screening,
• Off-grade wash and screening,
• Beneficiation,
• High pressure roller crusher,
• Product conveying and stacking,
• Process water and slime handling,
• Automated process control philosophy,
• Maintenance management
• Diagnostic Quality
• Root cause analysis, report writing, problem solving, trend analysis
• Management Knowledge
• Middle Management Program
• Finance for Non-financial Managers
• Human Resources Management
• Work Team/Individual Performance Management
• Systems Knowledge
• MS Office (advanced), JDE, Risk Assessment, Permits to Work, MES, Scada
• SHERQ Knowledge
• SHERQ Standards and Procedures, Integrated Risk Management, First Aid
• Legal
• Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation
• Relevant COP's and knowledge of SAQA regulations
• Technical Skills
• Process control and optimization
• Effective and accurate reporting, generating of scope of work
• Management Skills
• Planning, organizing and coordinating
• Communication
• Supervisory skills

Requirements:

• 5 years plus operational Mineral Processing experience
• 1 years plus Team leader/Project leader/Supervisor experience in Mineral Processing
• 2 years plus operational Gravity Separation Technology experience
• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Metallurgy
• Degree/BTech Degree (NQF Level 7) in Metallurgy
