Job Description

We wish to appoint a mature and energetic Medical Receptionist. The successful candidate will be fluent in both Afrikaans and English, have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), be of pleasant disposition and have a flair for client service, sales, and marketing, as well as the ability to deal with and show empathy to older people.

The role of the Client Relations/Medical Receptionist is a full-time role within the practice. You will support the healthcare professionals and practice by being the face of the practice and engaging with patients coming in either for an appointment or walk-ins. The patients are predominantly older patients and people requiring assistance with hearing aids. You will manage the full administrative process for the clients, including remaining consistent with follow ups and maintaining relationships with the clients, as well as ensuring their respective needs and queries are attended to appropriately by the necessary professional or yourself. You will coordinate the diary as at times, the the hearing healthcare professionals will conduct home visits and/or retirement village visits. Additionally, you will assist with the day to day running of the practice including stock control and reporting. In your spare time, you will contact existing clients to follow up on their requirements, provide and offer suitable solutions for their needs, and help with other sales initiatives to drive client appointments within the practice
