About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and personable Medical Receptionist to become an integral part of our client's healthcare team. This front-line role requires someone who is highly organised, professional, and committed to delivering excellent service to patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all walk-in patients and visitors, delivering a warm and professional welcome.
• Manage the switchboard by answering and directing incoming calls, and accurately taking and relaying messages.
• Capture patient information efficiently and accurately using the medical billing system.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the medical team, including filing, scanning, and handling correspondence.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical receptionist or medical administrative role (essential).
• Education: Matric / Grade 12 certification (required).
• Transport: Valid driver's license and access to own reliable vehicle (required).

• Proficient computer literacy.
• Typing speed of 35-45 words per minute.
• Familiarity with medical software or billing systems (advantageous).

• Has a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Can work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintains a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient information.
• Is dependable, proactive, and has a calm, professional demeanour in a busy environment.
