Medical Receptionist & Administrative Assistant
Are you an organised, professional, and people-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare support? We are a busy and well-established medical practice seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist & Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable juggling multiple tasks, and has recent experience in a busy medical practice.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcome patients and manage all front desk reception duties.
Schedule and coordinate appointments, theatre time, and daily diaries.
Obtain medical aid authorisations and conduct benefit checks.
Handle patient queries and liaise with medical aids.
Place orders, manage deliveries, and maintain supplies.
Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Perform general office administration, including typing letters.
Verify patient details and ensure booking accuracy.
Send appointment reminders and assist with billing/credit control.
Take and record patient payments.
Requirements
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years' experience in medical reception/administration.
Proficiency in medical practice management software.
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Office).
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, presentable, and motivated.
Driver's licence and own transport required
