Job Description
Our client is a well-known and highly respected medical practice located in Port Elizabeth. The practice urgently requires the services and skills of an experience Medical Practice Receptionist.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar environment is ideal (Medical Private Practice).
- Effective communication skills (written, spoken and electronic).
- SA Citizen with clear criminal and credit history.
- Reliable transport and the preparedness to work on public holidays and Saturdays (on rotation).
- Excellent level of patient services and a positive attitude.
- Must pay attention to detail and possess good organisational skills.
- Must be able to work well in a team.
- Bilingualism is advantageous.
- Figure acumen.
- Greets patients in the facilities and over the phone.
- Knowledge of MedEDi / PRACTICE PERFECT
- Schedules doctorsxe2x80x99 appointments for patients written in diary & on MedEDi calendar.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks.
- Prepares medical files.
- Authorisations for room procedures
- Specialist appointments for patients
- Updating patient medical & personal information on patient files and MedEDi.
- Protect patientsxe2x80x99 rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Dealing with medical representativexe2x80x99s xe2x80x93 appointments / doctorsxe2x80x99 lunches.
- Credit controlling.
- Benefit checks.
- Theatre roster (anaesthetics)
- Emails from patients. (scripts/requests etc.).
