As a Medical Laboratory Scientist in our Microbiology Laboratory, you are a key contributor to the precision and reliability of diagnostic testing. Your role involves processing specimens across all benches, ensuring that each step meets our rigorous standards. You also play a part in monitoring workflow to support timely delivery of results. Role Requirements





To succeed in this role, you bring a strong academic foundation, including:


a Grade 12 certificate a BHSc: Bachelor of Health Science (Microbiology / Clinpath) HPCSA as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in an approved discipline reflects your professional commitment and readiness to contribute meaningfully.

With at least one to two years of experience in a pathology laboratory, you have developed the practical insight and confidence needed to navigate complex testing. Your experience positions you to contribute effectively from day one, while also growing within a team that values accountability, encourages leadership, and supports your long-term career aspirations through talent development and succession planning.


Skills Requirements





This role calls for a balanced mix of technical and interpersonal strengths. You are proficient in using computer technology to support laboratory operations and data analysis. Your fluency in English enables clear communication across teams and with clients. Strong numerical reasoning supports your accuracy in calculations and data interpretation, while your communication skills help foster a people-centric culture that ignites engagement and collaboration.
