About the Opportunity
Medical Resources is recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable medical billing company based in Pretoria North. They are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Billing/Debtor Clerk to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong billing knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering accurate and compliant medical billing services.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process and follow up on denied medical claims.
• Accurately capture patient details and insurance information.
• Verify insurance claims and submit claims to Medicare and other relevant schemes.
• Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding standards and relevant billing regulations.
• Coordinate with insurance providers and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Handle confidential patient and financial information with integrity.
• Support the finance and administration team as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in Medical Billing/Debtor positions.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
• Experience handling insurance claims, including OT & Hearing Aids billing.
• Skilled in managing denials and effectively resolving billing issues.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Prior experience in medical billing or a related field is essential.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Minimum: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Advantageous: Additional certifications in medical billing or coding.
