A client in the Medical Bureau / Medical Billing industry is seeking a full-time, on-site Medical Billing Specialist with strong Urology billing experience. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow into the technology and training side of healthcare.
The successful candidate will start by working within their billing bureau, managing end-to-end billing for specialist practices. Over time, this role may evolve into a position supporting their medical billing software products (MxNode & PayDoc), including user support, training, testing and contributing to product development.

Key Responsibilities:
Billing Focus:

• Capture, process, and submit medical aid claims accurately and on time.

• Verify patient and specialist information to ensure compliance with coding and tariff requirements.

• Reconcile payments, follow up on rejections, and resolve outstanding claims.

• Communicate effectively with medical aids, patients, and specialists regarding claims, co-payments, and shortfalls.

• Generate billing and financial reports for doctors and internal use.

• Ensure compliance with POPIA and medical aid regulations.

Software, Training and Support:

• Develop a deep understanding of their in-house billing software (MxNode & PayDoc).

• Provide user support and troubleshooting for doctors and billing staff.

• Conduct training sessions for new users, including doctors, practice staff, and internal teams.

• Provide structured feedback to the development team on functionality, usability, and billing-related requirements.

• Participate in testing new software features to ensure alignment with billing workflows and standards.

• Act as a bridge between billing specialists, doctors, and the software team, ensuring smooth adoption of technology.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12.

• 3+ years' experience in medical billing (strong urology billing experience required).

• Computer literacy (billing software, Google WorkSpace essential).

• Strong interest and capability in technology/software.

• Willingness to transition into a training and software support role in the future.

• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, coding (ICD-10, CPT/Procedure codes).

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.

• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn and support software systems.

• Ability to adapt and grow into a billing, training, and software role.
