: The artillery and mortar groups in Boskop Product Development has a training opportunity for a graduate technician to receive exposure in the design, fabrication and testing of artillery munitions. The training opportunity will cover the design (CAD, detailed drawings and data-pack configuration), manufacturing (liaising with suppliers and plant regarding hardware) and preparing hardware for testing and assisting in test execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support engineers and technicians in organizing hardware with suppliers and the plant.
Support engineers and technicians in assembling of hardware for testing.
Support engineers and technicians in draughting of components and assemblies.
Support in data pack configuration.
Hardware fabrication.
Components procurement and collection.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures when working in the plant and with tools.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
NQF level 6 Mechanical engineering.
Interest in mechanical design, 3D CAD, draughting, building hardware and testing.
Computer literacy.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good planning and organizational abilities.
Good communication skills.
