Job Description
Introduction:
Promed Pharmatech is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support factory operations by maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical equipment to ensure maximum production efficiency and minimal downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on factory machinery
Conduct breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Inspect, service, and maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and production equipment
Assist with machine upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals
Complete maintenance reports and job cards
Work shifts, overtime, and standby when required
Qualifications:
Mechanical Technician qualification (N6 / National Diploma / equivalent)
Mandatory Experience
:Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding and fabrication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R6000,00 - R8000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal 4339: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
Certificate (Preferred)
Experience:
manufacturing or factory: 1 year (Preferred)
