Mechanical Pump Design Engineer

Job Description
As a Mechanical Pump Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. You'll play a key role in product innovation, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring high-performance, reliable pump systems to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop pump components and systems using CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Perform detailed engineering calculations, including fluid dynamics, stress analysis, and thermal evaluations.
- Create and manage detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and procurement teams during product development.
- Conduct prototype testing and analyze performance data.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ANSI, ISO).
- Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience in pump design or rotating equipment.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and mechanical design principles.
- Familiarity with FEA, CFD, and engineering simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
