Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description
As a Mechanical Project Engineer (Structures), you will play a key role in designing, overseeing, and managing structural aspects of mining plant projects. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of mechanical and structural engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and implementation of mechanical plant components
- Oversee engineering projects from feasibility to execution
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors and internal teams
- Conduct structural integrity assessments and propose solutions
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for plant infrastructure
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in structural engineering within mining or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of mining plant operations and maintenance
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
