Job Description

We are looking for a UTILITIES FOREMAN to effectively and efficiently manage our plant utilities by assuming overall responsibility for maintenance on grounds and buildings. The incumbent will be responsible for all utilities onsite including the effluent and sewerage plant. Role will be a support function to the GMR2.1 to ensure that all utilities are available for site and maintenance is carried out as required.
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Qualified Electrician or Millwright
5+ years in similar role
Previous exposure as a GMR2.7 appointment (advantageous)
Own transport
Understanding of Generator maintenance and operation
Understanding of effluent water treatment plant maintenance and operation (advantageous)
Understanding of HVAC maintenance (advantageous)
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintenance on grounds and buildings at the Centurion premises. GMR2.7 appointment
Ensure plant utilities are maintained including, air vessels/lines, water lines, paraffin tanks/lines, LPG tank/lines and all statutory tasks are completed
Ensure Plant Fire Hydrant system is operational, maintained and all statutory are completed
Lead a team of building maintenance staff and effluent operators
Ensure all building inspections are maintained
Manage outside contractors on site and ensure all HSE are adhered too
Lead building projects
Lead garden maintenance teams
Ensure all building equipment are maintained per the OHS standards
Ensure with plant engineer all building work comply with SANS 10400 building regulations
Managing of Site Generator, in terms of maintenance and breakdowns and ensuring all statutory tasks are completed
Manage effluent and sewage plant, in terms of maintenance and breakdowns and operators
Participate in site audit preparations
Manage Site Chlorine water treatment plant and sewage plant, in terms of maintenance and breakdowns and contractors
