, where you'll play a central role in ensuring our mechanical equipment performs safely, reliably, and efficiently every single day.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As our Mechanical Foreman, you'll be the heartbeat of the mechanical maintenance team. Your role includes:

Leading, coaching, and developing artisans and assistants Keeping maintenance schedules on track and ensuring top-quality work Responding to breakdowns and making smart, fast technical decisions Managing resources, spares, and budgets responsibly Driving safety, compliance, tidy workspaces, and 5S standards Analysing maintenance trends and improving plant reliability Supporting projects, shutdowns, upgrades, and continuous improvement

Desired Experience & Qualification

What You Bring

Grade 12 N6 Mechanical / Electrical OR T4 qualification / Qualified Artisan (Millwright/Fitter & Turner) 5-6 years' mechanical experience in a sawmill environment Team leadership experience Strong technical ability: hydraulics, pneumatics, conveying systems, fault-finding Solid understanding of safe working practices and the OHS Act

Must live in or be willing to relocate to

Warburton / near the mill

Physically fit and comfortable working in heat, dust, and noise Willing to work overtime, shifts, standby when needed Strong safety habits and sober working behaviour
