Job Summary Job Requirements: Proven experience as a Workshop Manager Trade Certificate / Red Seal Boilermaker certificate, engineering diploma (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to communicate and report effectively In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines Extensive experience (10+ years) in a supervisory or management role with a strong background in structural steel, mechanical, platework, and piping is essential. Must be proficient in MS Office (MS Project & Excel) : Manage daily workshop operations, including planning and prioritizing workloads, scheduling, and optimizing workflow processes. Responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection fabrications and assemblies General Administration for personnel and record keeping Maintaining a database of everything purchased, work done and by whom Oversee the maintenance of all workshop equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are safe, in good working order, and calibrated. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric sketches Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and construction regulations Prepare and verify material take-offs for operational planning Ensure that appropriate workshop procedures are in place and adhered to.
