Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in the manufacturing, mining, or steel industry. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in design, development, and testing of mechanical systems, with expertise in mechanical design, project support, and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components
- Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure safe and efficient designs
- Attend project meetings and contribute to planning and execution
- Conduct studies, simulations, and other technical support tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Follow all health, safety, and company protocols
- Carry out additional duties as assigned within the company's scope
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years post-graduation experience in manufacturing, steel, or mining environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
- Proficient in SolidWorks, CAD, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with tender processes, projects, and quotations
