Job Description

We are seeking a self-driven, motivated, and talented Junior Engineer to join our team in the mining and energy-saving industry. In this role, you will support the delivery of engineering projects focused on mining operations, industrial systems, and energy-efficiency interventions.
This position is ideal for a candidate with 03 years of experience who is eager to learn the technical, operational, and commercial aspects of the mining and industrial energy sectors. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to analyse systems, identify improvement opportunities, and support the development of practical engineering solutions.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical problem-solving ability and a solid understanding of engineering principles. You will be expected to evaluate mine and industrial systems, assist with data collection and analysis, and contribute to the development of energy-efficiency and optimisation projects across various mining/industrial operations.
1.Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or alternatively Electrical or Mining Engineering. Additional certifications or coursework in energy efficiency and sustainable practices are is advantageous.

2.Experience

• 13 years of practical engineering experience, ideally in mining, industrial plants, or energy-related environments.
• Hands-on exposure to fieldwork, site installations, inspections, or commissioning is strongly preferred.

3.Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of engineering principles and concepts relevant to mining and energy efficiency.
• Proficiency in computer literacy (project dependant).
• Basic Knowledge of energy management systems, renewable energy technologies, and energy-efficient practices.
• Familiarity with mining equipment, processes, and safety standards - advantageous.

4.Soft Skills

5.Other

• Valid SA drivers license.
• South African citizen (preferred) or valid SA work permit.
• Located in Pretoria or willing to relocate to Pretoria if appointed.
• Willing to travel to site regularly and to work underground from time to time.
