Job Description
Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in the Durban area.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in manufacturing environment - heavy industry would be an advantage
- Continuous improvement knowledge and experience
- Familiar with HP boilers & Steam reticulation systems
- Familiar with Turbo Machinery
- Ensure optimal performance of all Front-End mechanical equipment.
- Drive Maintenance improvements to optimise efficiency and output of Front-End and Boiler mechanical equipment.
- Engage effectively and collaborate with key suppliers/contractors
- Manage/oversee pre-agreed on-site abnormal maintenance and capital projects
- Audit and analyse maintenance systems with the aim of uncovering engineering related inefficiencies
