Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
A mechanical design engineer is required to join a product development team focused on automation solutions for FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries. The candidate will be responsible for machine design and must be able to interact with both internal and external personnel to effectively co-ordinate project tasks amd ensure deadlines are met.
The role is both challenging and rewarding in terms of exposure to various industries and customers both local and international. You will be challenged as a desighn engineer but will also be supported within a dynamic design team focused on delivering engineering solutions to the relevant industries.
Minimum qualification: BCS Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
Exp: 1-5 years exp in mechanical design and machine manufacturing environment
Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of mechanical design fundamentals
- Able to solve problems relating to machine design in an effective manner
- An understanding of machine control systems and machine logic
- Able to understand electrical and pneumatic diagrams
- Experience with 3D/2D modelling software (pref Autodesk Inventor)
- Excellent communication and interfacing skills
- Able to work in a stressful environment under tight deadlines
- Availability and willingness to work overtime to meet customer project requirements
