Job Summary Duties and Responsibilities

To oversee mechanical and process designs for water and wastewater treatment plants.
Prepare 2D draughting and technical drawings, including Piping Isometrics and P&IDs.
Create 3D models of structural steel, piping, and sheet metal assemblies.
Develop and review mechanical assembly and installation drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Select, cost, and specify equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, and membranes.
Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and installation purposes.
Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with design specifications.
Supervise commissioning activities to ensure proper system functionality and performance.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
Proven experience in mechanical design and assembly.
Proficiency in 2D design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD) and 3D modelling tools (SolidWorks preferred).
Strong knowledge of weldment assemblies, pipe routing, sheet metal, and manufacturing drawings.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet project deadlines, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
