Job Description

Our client in Benoni is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components within fluid and gas environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, efficient project delivery.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for various engineering projects.
• Conduct research and analyse technical data to develop innovative solutions.
• Create detailed technical drawings, models, and specifications using CAD software.
• Perform simulations and testing to validate mechanical designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods and tools.
• Conduct root cause analyses to identify and resolve design or performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in mechanical design and development, with proven experience in fluid dynamics (CFD certification preferred).
• Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360, CAM software, and MS Office.
• Willingness to undergo CFD training if required.
