POSITION INFO:
About the Role We are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsperson with proven experience in process plant design and advanced 3D modelling. In this role, you will create detailed 3D models and
technical drawings for piping and mechanical equipment
used in process plants.
You'll collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop precise designs that align with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of process piping, storage vessels, pressure vessels, and mechanical equipment.
• Produce piping isometric drawings and generate material take-off lists.
• Develop and refine 3D design concepts for the detailed design phase.
• Model and review process plant layouts using Autodesk Plant 3D or similar software.
• Read and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Ensure accurate design integration with other

disciplines. * Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project specifications and design standards.

• Prepare, update, and manage technical drawings and documentation.
• Maintain drawing libraries in compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Draughting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a draughtsman in process plant environments.
• Proficient in Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk Navisworks, or similar 3D modelling software.
• Experience with process plant mechanical equipment design.
• Familiar with relevant design codes and industry standards (ASME, SANS, EN -- advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
