Education:
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Draughting qualification (advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, parts, and fabrication methods
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings, including layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerancing
- Familiarity with ISO, SANS, or ASME drawing standards
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience in creating BOMs and working with engineering change processes
- Knowledge of P&IDs and sheet metal design is an advantage
