Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for beneficiation plants.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Optimise plant layouts for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct structural and weldment design analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration.
- Support on-site troubleshooting, commissioning, and project handover.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support engineering decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in mechanical design within the beneficiation plant industry or a related sector.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of bulk material handling equipment and plant design principles.
- Expertise in weldment design, structural analysis, and plant layout optimisation.
- Solid understanding of beneficiation processes, including crushing, screening, conveying, and material separation.
- Familiarity with on-site troubleshooting and commissioning practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical challenges effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented with proven ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
