Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing robust mechanical systems and components for industrial machinery, from concept through to production, while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and complete systems for industrial machinery.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with Electrical and Controls Engineers during the design and integration phases.
- Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers, production, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate documentation including BOMs, drawings, and design records.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the industrial machinery or automation sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor).
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC, sheet metal, and welding).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
