Senior Design Engineer Opportunity | Building Services Experience
Randburg and Hybrid Options, Johannesburg
R45 000 - R60 000 (Negotiable)

Are you a sharp-thinking Design Engineer who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges? Do you enjoy wet services design, have a solid grasp of hydraulics, and want to expand your exposure to fire engineering, wet services and HVAC and complete your Pr.Eng ?
We're looking for a Mechanical or Civil Engineer with strong design capability and the mindset of a problem-solver someone who can adapt quickly, learn fast, and think independently. You don't need to be a dedicated Fire Engineer or Building Services Design Engineer (we know how rare they are!) -- but exposure to fire systems will give you an edge.
What You'll Be Working On

• Wet services design (water, drainage & hot water systems)
• Hydraulics and booster pump designs
• Drainage system layouts
• Hot water plant design
• Exposure to fire protection and sprinkler systems
• Rational designs (advantageous)
• Retail / commercial projects (beneficial)

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level Engineer with 4 to 8 years' experience
• Strong background in hydraulics (water) design is essential, but negotiable
• We are willing to look at an Engineer from HVAC who wants new exposure in Wet Services
• We are willing to look at Building Services Design Engineers
• Familiarity with:

• SANS 10252 Parts 1 & 2 (Water & Drainage)
• SANS 10400 T (Fire)
• SANS 10400 P (Plumbing)

(You don't need to know them off by heart -- but you must have worked with them) * BEng or BSc preferred
(Technicians with a PrTechEng, may be considered if experience is strong) * Pr Eng registered or close to registration is advantageous

• Solid employment history
• Valid driver's licence & own vehicle (site visits required)

Permanent position

• Office-based preferred
• Hybrid option available for candidates not based in Randburg
• Site attendance required when needed
