Job Description

A well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Draughtsman to join its engineering team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical draughting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings to specification
- Design and modify mechanical components to improve manufacturability and reduce production issues
- Generate and verify Bills of Materials in line with drawings
- Liaise closely with engineering, production, and sales teams on technical requirements
- Manage drawing projects to meet agreed delivery timelines
- Provide general support within the drawing office
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or MDDOP Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Autodesk Inventor
- Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD
- Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings to engineering standards
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding and application of engineering standards
- Ability to perform basic mechanical calculations
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Experience with ERP and BOM systems will be advantageous
R30 000 - R35 000 CTC
