Job Description
Key Output
- Assist the Mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and / or components.
- Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the Mechanic / Technician has them within reach
- Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for particular jobs
- Clean and maintain facilities and equipment
- Maintain a safe and orderly workplace
- Physically lift, keep in place and / or move up to twenty kilograms (20kgs) or use appropriate lifting and slinging equipment for objects larger in size
- Matric
- Understanding of tools will be advantage
- Ability to obtain certification as forklift operator within ninety (90) days of appointment
- Ability to obtain certification as overhead / jib crane operator within ninety (90) days of appointment ability to follow instructions under supervision
- Drivers licence xe2x80x93 Code B will be an added advantage
