Mechanical Assistant - County Fair - DurbanvilleFull job descriptionAstral, a leading South African integrated poultry producer, has a Mechanical Assistant opportunity at County Fair, Processing Plant in Fisantekraal.The purpose of the Mechanical Assistant is to uphold and maintain the standards required by County Fair and maintain the safety and health standards of the company and comply with the occupational health and Safety Act that is available on site.Qualifications:Must have an N2 qualification or equivalentExperience:Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, repair of poultry processing, and rendering plant equipment will be a distinct advantageThe ideal candidate would be responsible for:Routine maintenance of processing equipmentAttending to all unscheduled processing interruptions resulting from breakdownsInstallation and maintenance of processing equipment, including on weekendsAdhering to 20 keys, HACCP, and general housekeeping rulesThe successful candidate must meet the following requirements:?Fluent in English and a second official languageMust be computer literateFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on public holidays when requiredMust be willing to work shiftsMust have reliable transportJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
