About the Role

AFF is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Mechanic to join our Midkin Workshop, located just north of the township of Ashley, NSW.


In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of farm machinery, vehicles, and irrigation equipment. You'll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly across AFF's farming network by delivering high-quality service and preventative maintenance that reduces downtime and improves performance.


You'll work closely with farm and workshop teams, supporting a safe and efficient working environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.


Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You're a practical, safety-focused individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and problem-solving. You thrive in a busy workshop environment and can work both independently and as part of a team.


To be successful in this role, you'll bring:


A relevant trade qualification in mechanics or a related field. Experience servicing and repairing agricultural or heavy machinery. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload. A proactive attitude toward safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Ideal experience also includes:

Experience with hydraulic, diesel, or electrical systems in agricultural environments.
