Inspired is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled IEB Geography teacher to join our college team on the 1st January 2026 on a permanent basis. the teacher shall report to the Deputy Head and be responsible for helping and lead the progression of Geography accross Grades 8-12

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be an active contributor amoungst a dynamic team Consistently plan, prepare and present an IEB Mathemathics lessons Establish a teaching envoironment that is nurturing and promotes deep learning To serve the community Behave in a professional manner Consistently evaluate, reflect and refine teaching practice Continously seek professional development Teach extra lessons, when required , on two afternoons per week Be actively engaged in the afternoon programme for a mimium of two afternoons a week Respond to e-mails and telephone messages with 24 hours Exemplify qualities of good care , effort and kindness To attend all occassions appropraite to the position To meet all appropriate timelines for action To be a Tutor teacher, ensuring effective pastoral care for a group of students Effictively set and mark assessments and other forms of student evaluation Write informative report comments To undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/ Deputy Head fairly determine

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Lives with Passion with a Plan applied over time Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals Adaptable style that drives for high performance Geninue care and attention for the highest standards of student and team welfare Ability to judge learning effectiveness Excellent preparation and planning Assessment of student outcomes to enhance performance The ability to engage and interest teenagers A minium of 3 years' teaching Mathemathics at an FET level (Gr 10-12) Confidence in using ICT in teaching The ability to coach an afternoon activity would be advantageous Appropraite legal right to work at a South African School University degree in an appropriate subject SACE accreditation
