Key Responsibilities (CAPS-Aligned)

Teach Mathematics and Life Sciences aligned to

CAPS

and

Annual Teaching Plans (ATPs)

. Prepare lesson plans, term plans, and structured revision/exam prep programmes. Design and implement CAPS-aligned assessment: class tasks, formal tasks, tests, projects/practicals (where applicable), and exams. Mark, record, and report learner performance accurately and on time. Maintain CAPS-compliant subject files/evidence (assessment plans, tasks, memos, mark schedules, learner evidence). Analyse results, identify learning gaps early, and run interventions (catch-up plans, extra lessons, targeted support). Maintain discipline and a positive, productive classroom environment. Communicate progress with parents/guardians and contribute to learner support processes. Participate in moderation, subject meetings, professional development, and school programmes/events.

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Active SACE registration (MUST).

Recognised teaching qualification (

BEd / PGCE

). Proven ability to teach

Mathematics

and

Life Sciences

at high school level. Working knowledge of

CAPS

, ATP planning, and assessment requirements.
