Material Supply Controller

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain daily component inventory transactions including receipts, issues and transfers

Execute cycle counting and support stock reconciliation activities

Process inventory adjustment documents such as returns, scrap and transfers in line with company procedures.

Monitor material movement and generate alerts for slow-moving or obsolete inventory.

Oversee and coordinate third-party customs clearance activities to ensure timely material availability.

Control and verify customs clearance costs by auditing broker quotations & invoices (e.g., Service fees, inspection charges and demurrage)

Enforce warehouse Tri-Match Verification to ensure alignment between customs declaration quantities, bill of lading quantities and physical stock quantities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date import documentation archives for compliance, traceability and audits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Grade 12 and/or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field

Minimum of 2 years' experience in supply chain. Inventory management, cycle counting, material management or logistics (preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry)

Experience in import customs clearance procedures (advantageous)

COMPETENCIES:

Proficient in Excel for data processing and reporting (functions/charts/pivot tables)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and auditing skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with experience engaging external service providers
