We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Material Planner X2 position under Supply Chain The position will report Senior Material Planner and is based at Dunnottar
Job Purpose
The primary focus of this position is to communicate delivery schedules (call off) to suppliers based on MRP system requirements and collect on a daily basis their commitments. To monitor all gaps to anticipate and treat missing parts with key suppliers. Also to be responsible for all activities pertaining to the parameters review, procurement and materials planning for production. The role reports to the Senior Material Planner
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement plan accuracy and ensure material on time deliveries and stock policy adherence
  • Create the Material Planning documents (Call-off, Schedule Agreement) & respective Source List and Quota Management in line with the Master Production Schedule.
  • Analyse Suppliers confirmations (on Ariba) vs. needs and evaluate the risk/impact anticipation on production.
  • Analyze and manage MRP exception messages and anticipate supply problems (backlogs, shortages, no demand...).
  • Track missing parts until stock availability
  • Ensure non-conformities replacement through NCR process
  • Resolve Goods Receipts issues with the applied means of communication (overstock, shortage, damage, documentation, quantity mismatch, Invoices, etc.)
  • Interact with Logistics Method department in parameters definition (i.e. requirements for packaging / stacking / storing / handling of components / material / parts).
  • Communicate parameter standards to suppliers thus ensuring preservation and maintaining of high quality of product/s along the value chain.
  • Participate in daily Cross functional team's meeting to mitigate and feedback on line blocking issues
  • Maintain accurate records so that procurement data is accurate at all times.
  • Communicate on a daily basis with suppliers sharing procurement plan.
  • Monitor suppliers' performance and follow up on commitments not fulfilled (i.e. ensure on time delivery in full -
  • action plan with Supplier Development team and Buyers.
  • Visit suppliers on a regular basis both for relationship building and for OTIF).
  • Escalate in case of supplier's major issues and work on corrective monitoring compliance to Gibela requirements / standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain or related equivalent Qualification
  • Similar operational experience exceeding 5 years in Manufacturing ,Industrial environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Supply chain processes especially in warehouse & material flows
  • ERP: SAP Experience
  • Experience with MS Office tools
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong negotiation skills & leadership
  • Active team player, deadline driven, process driven
