Main activities of a Materials Coordinator is to track all deliveries of spare parts from Central Warehouse "CWH" local and international to all wind farms across South Africa, arrange return of parts back to Germany, Spain and ensure safe storage of spare parts on wind farms and support on all logistical matters in case of major work on site.
Key Responsibilities [Key Performance Areas]
Be responsible for all logistical matters in the service department including planning, coordinating & sourcing suppliers.
Support service team with respect to safety, costs, time, schedule, and quality in the area of logistics
Be responsible for supporting Service Coordinator & Material Manager in creating purchase orders, posting goods receipt, checking stock availability and other SAP related
Monitor and track sea & air freight shipments for all sites
Interface between clearing agent service department
Attend to spare parts weekly meetings and service department ops meetings
Support Service Coordinator & Material Manager in organizing return of defective parts for repairs and investigation to DE/ES
Responsible to arrangement of stores on all sites and Port Elizabeth Warehouse and ensure HSE compliant in collaboration with Lead Technicians and Site Admin
Keeping accurate records of all purchase orders and deliveries on site in collaboration with Lead Technicians and Site Admin
Preparing tools register for all sites and ensure maintenance of tools are done as per manufacture requirements
Responsible for all site stock taking ( quarterly) Deal with any stock discrepancies or quality issues efficiently with Site Managers and Site Admin
Ensure that the P.E Warehouse receiving area is organized at all times
Support and suggest the effective management of inward & outward flow of inventory in the P.E Warehouse
Actively involved in the on-site works orders management by LoMS and replenishment process of safety stock
Skills / Competencies
Adequate personnel responsibilities experience.
Technical experience required.
Good team skills and ability to adopt to project needs.
Very good communication skills.
Good planning skills.
Ability to work with different cultures.
Willingness to go on extended business trips within SA.
English language.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Inventory management
Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently)
Driving Licence
SAP_ERP
Office suite professional and other Suites are a plus
Technical background in materials and logistics.
AT least 2 years of professional experience in material controlling and management of materials.
Health and safety awareness.
Versed in Materials management.
