Job Description


Job Summary Manage and co-ordinate the smooth running of project planning for the services division. Continuous analysis of project activities on all projects. Establish the projectxc3xa2xe2x82xacs milestones and enter these into the Companyxc3xa2xe2x82xacs data system/ERP system in accordance with established procedures. Use knowledge and information on resource availability to ensure that the projectxc3xa2xe2x82xacs milestones are achieved. Assist project managers, heads of departments, technicians, the project team, and the order processing team in reviewing progress and status of the project. Perform all duties to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard Requirements. Function as part of a Team. Ensure total confidentiality of all information, internal and external, pertaining to the business, all its Employees and Management. Perform all necessary computer functions. Manage teams of people at work. Communicate with clients in a professional manner. Be responsible for the overall planning function of all projects in the services division. Provide assistance to all project managers, heads of departments, technicians, project, team members and the order processing team with planning and progress measurement of their projects. Review and assess the planning function of the company for continuous improvement and to ensure sufficient planning resources per project. Provide assistance in legal claims for extension of time. Provide planning assistance to other departments when necessary. Schedule weekly planning meetings with the project teams including order processing to track progress Assist the sales and tendering team with draughting of project plans and programmes for tenders Scheduling of staff members and site teams in accordance with project requirements xc3x82 Compile and issue front-end schedules by the dates agreed upon, utilising input from all disciplines. Establish and issue key dates scheduled by the dates agreed upon with project managers, head of departments, and the project team. Establish critical paths, freeze project schedules, and issue baseline documents. Integration of subcontractor and supplier programs into project network and plan. Verification, preparation, and issuing of discipline schedules by date agreed upon. Establish productivity norms and standards for all disciplines in liaison with costxc3x82 engineering. Set up control curves. Ensure that installation and commissioning considerations are established and catered for in the project schedule during baseline development. Update schedules on a weekly basis or as directed by the project managers and heads of departments Revise schedules when required. Measure and report on progress. Prepare Look-ahead Schedules. Participate in a monthly progress report. Review planning and progress on all projects on a monthly basis. Assist with setting up procurement plans in accordance with project schedules and manage the procurement plan. Attend internal kick-off meetings for projectsxc3x82 Attend supplier kick-off meetings and give advice on supplier lead times in accordance with the project schedules. Perform any other duties required by your designated departmental manager Must possess a suitable tertiary qualification in Engineering (NQF Level 6) or equivalent. Exposure to the drawing office environmentxc3x82 3-5 years of planning experience working on water/waste water treatment projects or any other process plants Planning from first principles Construction experience. Computer Literacy In The Google Workspace Tools And Experience With Cloud Computing, Such As Docusign, MS Projects, Primavera Etc. Excellent Organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
