MascotsSA are leaders in the creation of Custom Made Mascots, Props and Animatronic characters. We are offering intern positions to creative individuals who have a flair for 3D creation. The ideal candidates will have just graduated with an art degree / diploma in any 3D discipline such as sculpting / multi media. You will be working in a creative environment and learning to construct character mascots and props using a variety of raw materials such as closed cell foams and plastics, with emphasis on neat and precise characterisation and coverings using fur fabrics, fleeces and other materials. You will also use your skills of sculpting to create moulds from Urethene and clay. Preference will be given to individuals who can show through their experience to-date have an accurate eye for detail, are creative and have an understanding of 3D Construction. All our products are hand made from designs so please note that this is not a computer based job, it is hands on, working with materials and fabrics. Our products which can be viewed on www.mascots.co.za are supplied throughout Africa and world-wide to our clients in Sports, Tourism, Film & TV, Expos, Large Events and Corporate Marketing Campaigns.
