JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to perform marketing and communication functions in the Innovation and Research Contracts unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assist with communication on media platforms:
+ Publication of events on social media - Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and others;
+ Communicating calls for application of funds;
Market analysis reports:
+ Assisting with desktop searches of market information;
+ Collating information for market reports;
Assist with marketing material:
+ Assisting with the review and updating of marketing material;
+ Assisting in the designing of marketing material;
Co-ordination of events:
+ Assisting in the co-ordination of events;
+ Assisting in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services for events;
+ Assisting in setting up stands and the distribution of marketing material at events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
National three-year diploma in marketing;
One-year experience in:
+ Digital content creation;
+ Updating of marketing material;
+ Publishing in social media;
+ Exhibiting;
OR
Grade 12;
Three years' experience in:
+ Digital content creation;
+ Updating of marketing material;
+ Publishing in social media;
+ Exhibiting.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):
BTech in marketing:
Two years' experience in:
+ Sales/marketing;
+ Technology transfer; Sales/marketing certificate;
WIPO courses: DL101, DL301, DL302, DL450;
WIPO Summer School certification.
The all-inclusive remuneration package for this contract position will be commensurate with the incumbent's level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines.
