REPORTING: Report to Operations Manager

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract

SALARY: R20 000 p/month

OVERVIEW:

The fastest growing online news publisher in South Africa, with over eight million unique users per month, is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with readers across a variety of channels, as well as developing and maintaining some of our marketing/sales materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Tertiary education
• Proven writing ability
• Fully computer literate; own technology, load shedding plan in place, suitable internet connection and tethering back-up.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role, proven track record
• Publishing experience would be advantageous

• Manage all brand materials across all platforms
• Manage the overall marketing strategy for our South African titles
• Manage reader feedback from all reader touch points; mailboxes, comments and Whatsapp line
• Manage 70+ Social media channels; comments, interactions profile updates etc
• Organising Group B2B communications; email, Linkedin, website, blog posts
• Manage marketing materials for the commercial team (media pack, sales tools/emails, case studies, proposals, projects 1 pagers)
