The Marketing Manager for the Pigs and Poultry portfolio is responsible for managing and achieving the revenue growth and profitability for a designated product portfolio by providing marketing support to the commercial team.
Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the Zoetis Employment Equity Plan.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive revenue growth and profitability by developing, implementing and managing effective marketing strategies that meet the overall business objectives.
Develop, implement and report on the sales targets for the designated product portfolios.
Accurate forecasting to meet product targets, manage stock holding, and minimize write-offs.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Set, manage and report on the portfolio expense budget.
Manage digital marketing platforms.
Collect data and develop excellent information reporting to allow for a good understanding of the relevant market.
Analyse relevant market segments and activities in the market to determine market trends and to build new product strategies.
Work closely with cross species, cross functional, and regional teams to analyze customer needs, find and seize new business opportunities and to create better and untapped value added services for customers.
Ensure a good flow of the information and knowledge sharing in the team.
Positively adopt and implement change initiatives developed by other teams.
Implement new business solutions and services that add value to Zoetis customers.
Ensure all pharmacovigilance and product complaints are reported, captured and followed up on as per the company requirements.
Effective relationship building with external customers, veterinary groups and key clients.
Continuous improvement of product and industry knowledge
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Minimum: Relevant Commercial qualification or Bachelors of Science Degree.
A marketing qualification would be advantageous.
Experience:
5 years experience in a marketing role.
Animal health experience would be advantageous.
Demonstrated success with product development and launching of new products.
Good knowledge, experience and affinity with the poultry and swine industry will be preferable.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Comprehensive knowledge of marketing process
Strong business acumen (for result analysis, drafting proposals)
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of the animal health industry would be advantageous
Strong computer skills.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A valid driver's license.
As this is a national role; willingness to travel is essential.
