As a Marketing Manager at MRI Software, you will be responsible for marketing campaigns in Africa focused on a specified sector or territory, getting to know our client personas to develop our brand so it resonates with the audience. You will create and deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns to drive customer acquisition and expand existing client opportunities, working with the EMEA Director of Demand Generation on campaigns and with the Director of Corporate Marketing on people management, as well as with key individuals across the business to ensure alignment with organisational priorities. You will be responsible for maximising return on investment across campaigns, working with fellow marketing professionals in the EMEA team to ensure objectives are met and performance targets achieved. You will build close, ongoing marketing relationships with our key industry associations and market influencers to expand our brand reach and thought-leadership content. The role will also include managing a dynamic team of diverse marketing specialists in South Africa, supporting process standardisation and best-practice development.
We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the South Africa Johannesburg or Cape Town office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering the annual integrated campaigns plan, from brief through to post-campaign analysis and reporting, using any insight gained to improve.
Align the annual campaign plan to marketing themes, business strategy and Go to Market priorities, measuring achievement against set objectives and performance targets
Managing and building our content, including client stories, to ensure engagement at the top of the funnel to attract new clients and maintain thought leadership presence in the sector.
To work with a network of agencies and freelancers - digital and creative, as required. Also working with internal content, PR and subject matter experts across the business to achieve success.
As part of campaign activity, to plan for relevant presence at exhibitions, and conferences both physical and virtual formats, including delivering a series of hosted webinars
To ensure brand compliance throughout campaigns, always on the lookout for imaginative and innovative ways of extending reach and influence
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with fellow colleagues and key external stakeholders
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Team leadership and people management, focusing on fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence
Oversee the training, ongoing development, and performance management of team members
Conducting 1:1s with your direct reports (bi-weekly or as required).
Supporting onboarding and training of new team members.
Managing leave and schedules.
Collaborating with matrix managers across functions and regions.
Collaborating with Senior Management and HR/TA about recruitment and selection and the interview process.
Collaborate with functional leaders across regions to strengthen the team with an emphasis on people management, culture and delivery excellence.
REQUIREMENTS
5 years of marketing experience within B2B marketing and campaign management
Experience within the property sectors is an advantage
Strong editing and proofreading skills
Excellent people skills to work effectively with remote team members and cross-functional teams in a matrix management arrangement
Occasional travel to events in South Africa - estimate 3 x per annum
Proven experience in motivating and leading small diverse teams, fostering high-performance cultures, and delivering campaign excellence
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and maintain a client-centric focus
Excellent communication, documentation, organisational, presentation and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with resource management, with a focus on process optimisation, improvement, and efficiency
Experience working in a global or multi-regional environment is a plus
