Job Description


Join Lactalis South Africa and take on the challenge of managing the NPD development and Trade Marketing insights/execution within the FSI channel. Your role is to take data driven insights and product opportunities from the channel and motivate marketing and product mixes that can be effectively delivered by the sales team. You will be responsible for directing the channel objectives in-line with company and category objectives and delivering profitable growth. A key task will involve Innovation management and co-ordination across various functions. Successful candidates need to have 5-7 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within a Marketing/Sales/Trade Marketing environment. FMCG experience preferable
Required Skills

  • 3-year Marketing & Sales Diploma/Degree
  • 5-7 years within an FMCG environment would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Category Management tools
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels (business & customer interface)
  • Interpret & understand complex financial, consumer and shopper data
  • Initiate cross functional business approach & collaboration
  • Ability to work independently
Duties & Responsibilities

Driving the Commercial Planning process
  • Build and develop channel plans aligned to the marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Manage the demand planning process for the Channel.
  • Evaluate and monitor competitors and their activities and formulate proactive responses
  • Oversee the deployment of the marketing plan to the Sales and Field Sales teams.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of pricing/promotional strategies
Overseeing Trade marketing activation
  • Develop and implement the trade marketing strategy and budget
  • The effective management of trade shows and activations
  • Develop winning channel specific POP solutions to drive brand visibility and sales
  • Develop & implement trade and brand activation plans
  • Implement the Go-To-Market strategy for NPD, including developing the customer proposition and launch plan execution
Driving Customer relationship management
  • Provide support to the Key Accounts and regional teams by conducting regular business analyses and presentations to identify opportunities and deliver incremental growth
  • Utilise Customer data and insights and market intelligence to develop Customer specific activities as well as perform strategic Customer reviews.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in culinary terms
Marketing Management
  • Work closely with the customer team and cross functional team on all NPD including customized NPD projects.
  • Ensure all launches have essential fact sheets, educational and training materials for Customers and their outlets.
