The Marketing Manager will directly support Metrolifestyle New Vision and Business plan by managing all aspects of management of the organisation's website, respective Social Media Platforms and related Digital Marketing functions and allied Marketing Events, Campaigns, and Promotions.
This role will require control and oversight of Social Media Co-ordinator, Website Administrator, Website Developer, Graphic Designer, Product Photographer, and Online Store Co-ordinator. Cross functional relationships to be forged with people selected from across service areas, to support the communication and delivery of work aligned to the organisation's mission, values and behaviours and all elements of customer experience improvements across the organisation.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (CONTROL & OVERSIGHT OF FUNCTIONS) WEBSITE MANAGEMENT: Align the organisation's brand, strategy, and standards Audit content and remove duplicate information Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts Create strategies to improve website traffic Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality Develop website content to support organisational goals and strategies Evaluate competitors' websites Follow Industry Best Practices Identify ways to improve website user experience Manage pay per click and search engine optimisation campaigns Monitor website security breaches and respond to them as needed
SOCIAL MEDIA . Research Visit competitor platforms Add Creative Director's post ideas to schedule and word document Work out schedule for every 2 weeks in advance Add to Social Media calendar Design posts - images/ slides Send Product Photographer video content and discuss beforehand Direct video ideas and implementation Connect with designers on Instagram/ FB platforms to introduce our brands, managers and shopping experience - phone the ones we have contact details for and extend personal invitation to store Managing social platforms and posting Research posts and interactions, reach, likes, engagements etc. Weekly check on best times and days to post and track any changes in audience
MARKETING: Search for strategies that are new in the market and new platforms to market on Promote products in best way possible Engage with many different types of marketing platforms - Newspapers, Social Media, Magazines, Websites, TV, radio stations etc. Phone get rates, add to our marketing filing. E-mail campaigns - design, write-up and send out Work with Centurion Mall and Centre marketing teams - send through posts for their social media platforms, connect with them to hear of any events that are coming up that we can participate in In store displays - Group Merchandise and Creative Director in charge - liaise/ meet with them from time to time to get content on this for social media and keep the same look and feel throughout the website and the social platforms and store Always sell the "Metro Lifestyle Shopping Experience" - this is a key objective that is kept in mind with every post and marketing strategy
GRAPHIC DESIGN: Design posts for social media Edit product images Design pricing templates - all size varieties, send out to Design banners/ posters/ pamphlets Design adverts for newspapers/ magazines Design catalogues Menu design/ changes for cafeteria Design roll-up banners Design billboards/ vehicle branding Need better programme than Photoshop. Inquired about full Adobe suite for Illustrator and InDesign as well, especially necessary for large designs like billboards and vehicles Design presentations for screens ONLINE: Manage Website Administrator, Online Store Co-ordinator, and IT Co-ordinator - online store purchases Make sure they fill out the sheet and keep it up to date Check on delivery delays and reasons for it Website Administrator contacting customers and sending out Thank you letter for each parcel/ package purchased Check that Website Administrator regularly gives through new image lists for Product Photographer to work on Save images on FTP server for upload Check on product uploads keep track of updating Check on product linking - Website Administrator managing group and instructions Handle competitions and giveaways Manually capture information for Loyalty club members, new signups from website Manually send out 10% coupon to new sign-up members Work on database, updating and consolidating info with IT Manager Manually capture old paper leads on excel sheet and add to database
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT: Handle sales leads that come in through the social media, e-mail, phone and WhatsApp channels Connect them with online or department to convert to sale Keep track of all leads and write report Post report on web & data management group Handle queries that come in from social media on customer complaints - Google, HelloPeter, WhatsApp, e-mail etc. Introduce new ways and ideas to automate this
