Purpose of the job
This internship is designed to give you first-hand experience in building and executing brand strategies, managing campaigns, understanding consumer behaviour, and working cross-functionally with key business units.
The purpose is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and have a prerequisite to have practical work experience to obtain their quali?cation. The successful candidate will be expected to enter a 18-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing Intern, you will support the Marketing team with:
Contribute towards the development and execution of marketing campaigns (digital, in-store, ATL/BTL).
Supporting brand managers with day-to-day administrative tasks and coordination of projects.
Helping to analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities.
Monitoring brand performance and compiling monthly performance reports and dashboards.
Collaborating with agencies, suppliers, and internal departments (Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance, etc.) as instructed by the Marketing Manager.
Contributing to the planning and execution of product launches, promotions, and events.
Assisting in the management and updating of brand assets and marketing collateral.
Supporting social media and digital marketing initiatives, including content creation and reporting.
Education
Final year of obtaining a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Brand Management, Commerce, Communication or Digital Marketing
Experience
Passionate about brands, consumers, and creativity
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Digitally savvy and up to date with trends in social media and consumer marketing
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); knowledge of Canva, Adobe, or data tools (e.g. Nielsen/IRI) is a advantage
Works well independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Can maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Has the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
South African citizen.
