Marketing Assistant - Port ElizabethAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-career level Marketing Assistant in a classical marketing role at the regional office of a well-respected national FMCG company. This organisation is well-established and focused on creating strategic partnerships while offering comprehensive business management services to independent retailers and wholesalers in the food and beverage sector.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate, support, implement, and assist the General Manager and Executive Committee (EC) team with all marketing strategies and administrative functions of the business unit.Build and strengthen brand equity within the region.Develop and conceptualise engaging regional marketing campaigns tailored to diverse local audiences.Cultivate robust partnerships with business forums, suppliers, and local communities to foster collaboration and engagement. Key Qualifications and Experience:National Senior Certificate.Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or similar is highly advantageous. Minimum of 4+ years of working experience in a dynamic environment and within cross-functional teams.Campaign Marketing experience is essential (from concept to implementation).Required background in internal and external communications.Proven experience in event planning and coordination, collaborating closely with partners, members, sponsors, and suppliers to ensure success and a solid return on investment.Ability to track marketing activities, events, activations, and sponsorships.Support the GM in analysing market research and data for future marketing strategies and campaigns.Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken forms.Strong copywriting and proofreading abilities.Knowledge of graphic design is advantageous, along with proficiency in marketing and design tools.Open to South African citizens with clear criminal and credit histories.A valid driver's license is essential.Important Attributes:Ownership mentality with a commitment to task completion.Strong attention to detail and goal-oriented mindset.Highly organised and capable of multitasking, with excellent interpersonal.Strong accountability and time management.Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.Empathy and a collaborative spirit.Application Process:Selected candidates may need to undergo assessments as part of the hiring process.
