Job Description


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing and Communications Head to oversee all aspects of marketing, communications, branding, events and internal communications.
Salary: R1.3 million
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting marketing budgets, monitoring and reporting on marketing activities, managing administrative functions, and implementing effective internal and external communication strategies.

They will collaborate with various teams, including product managers, HR, finance, operations and the teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Core Responsibilities:
Communications and media management
Develop and execute annual marketing and content strategies, media strategies, and content plans, with quarterly reviews.
Develop and implement PR strategies, monitor ongoing communications, and provide daily reports.
Develop product positions, messaging and pricing strategies
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats
Develop and implement new product launches
Effectively manage company logos, branding and IP
Work collaboratively with product management to align the brand, and to work with customer management (CRM) to promote overall image
Support IP management, including trademark renewals and registrations per territory, and collaborate with product managers for gap analysis per product category.
Engage and support CSI (Corporate Social Investment) steering committees and initiatives in collaboration with the HR team.
Provide support for operations teams during RFQ/RFI processes, including providing technical information, videos, and collateral.
Manage the email account, including sending emails and forwarding relevant information to the operations team and sites.

Digital strategy and channels:
Monitor and update websites, including weekly blog updates, and implement SEO strategies
Develop and implement LinkedIn content strategies, provide design briefings, and monitor analytics.
Oversee technical marketing management, including monitoring, updating, and optimizing technical data sheets, integrating them into the digital platform, publishing and promoting technical/white papers, and managing lead generation via the website and LinkedIn.
Optimize visual assets, including renders, photography, and audiovisual assets, for technical materials and data sheets.
Manage design assets and programs such as Canva, Publer, and asset tools.

Event management
Coordinate events, including booking, approving space, branding, event roll-out, attendance, and customer liaison.
Manage relationships with external suppliers, such as media agencies and design companies.
